Hi, I was planning on making a stop at the Lost Falls on a roadtrip.
I wanted to know if anyone has any beta? Such as if there are bolts missing, gear needed or if it is a pile of slimy choss that is DEFINITELY worth the trip?
Any info would be great
Thanks
MIKE

  1. We popped in and did the 15 on the way back from Freycinet. I thought it was really good. Well bolted, good climbing, and it's not nearly as dirty as the descriptions make it out to be. The 19 looks really good also, but we didn't get around to doing that.

No gear required. No bolts missing that I noticed.

    1. Hey thanks Cam, yeh the place did sound kinda dirty from the webpage, but thanks for the heads up. I think that it will definately be on my to-do list for the trip then.
      Thanks again MIKE

      1. The descriptions were written quite a while ago, and the Falls seem to be getting a lot of traffic from passers-by, so I think the lichen is gradually disappearing. The low rainfall over the last few years would also have played a role in this process.
If you're on your way to or from Coles Bay, it's definitely ((wink) ) worth a slight detour to do the routes.

  2. Claire on an early ascent of the 19 at lost falls.
