Partners Wanted!

Hey, My name is Matt and I am around Hobart for the summer. Looking for climbing partners for sport, trad, or bouldering. I have gear ( no crashpad though) and a vehicle. Mainly available on weekends, but would be stoked to get out over xmas - 24th-26th (no work). Txt or call me 0474 228 769

Hi there,

Can anyone tell me how much space the camping area near White Water Walls has, and how full it gets in January? It seems that Richardsons Beach and the commercial camp grounds book out months in advance, but is it safe to plan on being able to turn up at Whitewater/Bluestone Bay and find a spot?

Also, I've heard that it's a 4WD track to get there, but many 2WDs would handle it... Can anyone comment on whether a Ford Falcon would do ok there?

Thanks!

U bolts at Sphinx Rock

Hi There
Does any one one know much about the new u bolts under the over hangs at Sphinx Rock?  They are pretty ugly and over kill in my opinion.
Who ever is making them Im more than happy to let them use one of my jigs (with a way tighter bend radius) for bending them.  Or I can show you how I make some others.
I write this as it would be a shame to see  these hit the pipes .

Regards

Garry

Bare Rock open

Hello all,

Just a quick note. All the Peregrine chicks are on the wing... therefore, Bare Rock is open for business. They were nesting near the Boneyard, so if you wih to skip that section for a few weeks... even better, but they all should be gone by now anyway.

Plenty going on up here over Christmas.... amke sure you pop in and say Hi!

Hope you all have a fantastic season of climbing. Stay safe... have fun!
