Park at the carpark and walk 15min on level ground to the lookout. The rock is solid 'Hillwood' basalt and the climbing is steep 10-15m (under the lookout) or a huge featured roof and then step wall for 10-15m on the other side of the fall. Perfect for a quick climb between single malt tastings when stayingThe Boneyard is amazing!
So i went to the Boneyard on the weekend and it was an eye opener, why didn't i go there sooner! The rock quality is superb. The climbing even better. I was gobsmacked to witness the number of climbers up the Pipes on Sunday (22/6). For mid-winter, the air temperature was certainly mild and the rock warm... well at least while the sun was out!
