Witnessed a crazy thing today I've never seen or heard of before. At Hillwood , a visiting British climber was leading Long Kiss Goodnight (22). Going over the roof near the top, he all of a sudden couldn't move upwards. The reason being was that the pull on loop on the front of his climbing slipper, miraculously clipped onto the biner on the bolt as he moved past it. He was then faced with the prospect of an upside down fall and hanging by his foot from the bolt. He somehow managed to down climb, take his shoe off and finish the route with a bare foot, and still onsighted the climb. Great effort.
