However there are a huge number of boulders of all sizes in the area.

The boulders tend to be Adamsfield also has a little bouldering, with potential for more. Adamsfield is about 2 hours from Hobart. There are lots of established problems of all difficulties, but no one has got around to recording most of them yet. " access="The Adamsfield cliffs are situated at Grid reference 715430 on the Wedge 1:100 000 mapclean if in the open, and when the easterlies are pouring rain on Hobart the area can be bright and sunny.

Adamsfield has such a large number of boulders the initial rediscovery started with Strike a Blow boulder because it was easy to find, sunny with a view. If you don't want to spend five minutes walking there after the drive there are at least three boulders with problems immediately below the carpark, with multiple boulders within 50 m of the road from the 14km marker to past the carpark. If you are feeling a little more energetic look at the aerial photo and pick a boulder.

The conglomerate takes a bit of mental resetting after dolerite or Tasmanian sandstone, particularly using holds that look like a loose collection of pebbles.
In the resetting process you will inevitably ping holds, if you are putting up an FA it is worthwhile checking the top holds/jugs and giving them a good kick to ensure only the true and just remain." access="The Adamsfield boulders are situated at the northern end of the Ragged Range, on the Clear Hill road about 35 km past Maydena.
