Since everyone else seams to be shamelessly self promoting their blogs, I thought I would do the same. http://www.cjclimbs.blogspot.com.au This is the story of the new route me and Simon did at the Acropolis with pics and video. For the beard strokers, it may be a bit boring. For the iphone generation, I hope it inspires some to do a bit more fun-style documentation of their adventures! Also in the near future, I will be putting up last years exploits in Yosemite when I free climbed el cap and half-dome, as well as when I accidentally used poison oak as toilet paper. Something for everyone!

  1. In your ramblings Ye forgot the epic nth sth traverse completed old school style in walking boots, broken sandles, perilous weather conditions, random route finding surviving on meager rations and suffering the affects of fluid deprivation, along with the arduous trekking along ancient traks in the moonless night. I recall this happened in the year of lords 2007  ;)

Sorry Windy!! I could never forget that epic... :) Was it 2007? I was in China 2007. Julie Robinson still lived in Tassie when we (nearly!) did the Geryon traverse because we hiked out with her. Dude, we did the traverse before I went to Thailand! And that was 2004. I think perhaps the pain of the trip is still fresh and it just seems not that long ago. But I do feel remiss by not mentioning that was the actual first trip out to Geryon. Anyway, no need to write it up. Youve taken care of that for us!

Hey Ross... I have to admit, I was a bit tore up about it... Sorry if I took the piss out of you guys a little in my story. It was pretty cool that you freed your old man's route 40odd years later!

  2. Those Taylor brothers sound like total legends. And I hear that the night after Titan was freed CJ wept himself to sleep.

    1. Nice TR cj, and well done on the FFA of Titan Ross. Got an updated description for the guide?

  3. Should do, and one for the new route we did on Precipitous Bluff.
