lost at frehauf

Lost at Frehauf, One brain, easily recognised due to its convuluted and spoogy appearance. Its due for replacement and well past the manufacturers recommended useby date but it has sentimental value. PLEASE DON'T USE if found.
Answers to Barry (or Bazza).
please contact me asap or bring to my next barbecue.
cheers

Hat lost at Hillwood

I lost a hat about a week ago at Hillwood, at the spot where people usually park their cars. It is a wide brim brown felt hat and I would really really like it back. If anyone has seen it please call me, 0409 401 534.
Thanks very much, Jared.

Rope found at waterworks

I was climbing at waterworks today (15/11) and found a newish looking rope at the base of the cliff. If it belongs to you let me know.

As you guessed by the title, I’m looking for a partner. I’ve got a bit over a week in Tasmania and I’m hoping to climb, and enjoy what I can in such a short time.

I’ve been living in Tonga for the last two years working with the tourism industry, and local youth groups, and am finishing my work here in December and am treating myself to a trip before I head back to the wintry north in the States. I don’t have any plans as of yet, but it looks like there’s decent climbing just about everywhere there. I fly in on the 10th and will be leaving on the 19th

I’m happy climbing anything, long trad routes, boulders, or even buildings (though only in times of need). I’ve been climbing for over ten years and am comfortable leading 20-ish trad and following a bit harder. I’ve heard good things about Freycinet, and would love to go out there for a few days. Really, I just want to get out and climb.

If you have any recommendations are interested in climbing together, drop me a line at japosc@mac.com.

Cheers,
Jason Schneider

camping at hobart

Hi all

A few of us are heading down to climb at Mt Wellington around 8 - 12 Jan and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a nice quiet camping grounds. I know that you can bush camp at Mt Wellington but I thought we might check out some camping with showers

Cheers
Lara

Lost 5.10 piton rock shoes

Did anyone find a pair of 5.10 piton rock shoes at waterworks recently?
I have lost (misplaced?) them and if anyone has found them please send me
an email. I will happily swap them for a beer reward.

cheers
Nick

Mad Monkeys Facelift

The four routes on the main face have been re-equipped with U's (and lower offs have been added) by Roger Parkyn and Jeremy Spong. Together with King Ryobi this gives a good collection of "sport" routes. This makes access by MTB via Risdon Brook Dam an even better option (but note that access via Risdon Brook Dam gets closed at about 4 pm).
