Heya,
We found a newish pair of climbing shoes yesterday at the base of the northern buttress. If you can tell me what size and brand they are I'll be able to get them back to you in soggy yet mint condition.
The CCT organised for 16 bolts to be sunk into the Chessboard at Hillwood last night.
Everything has been retrobolted to stop the ground fall potential.
Happy climbing!
Jed
Ben Masterman, the Trust's Ranger on Mt Wellington, has contacted the CCT to let us know he found a red bag containing boots and other climbing/bouldering gear in the Pinnacle car park on Saturday. To get it back, contact Ben with a description of the kit on:

If your about tomorrow night (Mon 9th March 6pm) then try and get along to this.

Hi!
Im flying to Hobart 5th of April and my plan is to do trad and sport climbing around Tasmania for a week. Im coming by my self so I need someone to climb with. My onsight grade atm on trad is on a range of 20 to 22 and sport maybe 22 to 24. Got my own gear and gonna rent a car from the airport.
Anyone there free around those times?
Cheers,
Roope
Climbers of Tasmania we need your help!
A bunch of rebolting needs to be done and we need $$ to make U bolts to do this. It cost around $2 to make a U bolts + extra for the glue.
Everyone clips bolts even if it just on an anchor so please help us out, even if its only a couple of bucks.

Hi all,
The Candlestick has been on my list of things to do for a while and with the days getting shorter and cooler in a hurry I feel like I need to pull my finger out and get it done before the season is over.
I'm in Launceston, so I've been watching the swell forecast closely to try to pick a good day to head down there. Can anyone who's done it before suggest how much swell is too much to make it accessible, and if swell from any particular direction is favourable?
Myself and a mate Ian are doing a Tassies road trip later this month. It'd be awesome to meet up with other climbers, get some local beta and generally engage with the Tassie's climbing scene. Our vague itinerary, weather-dependent is:
15 to 17 March - Freycinet (Alchemy, Hazards Main Wall, Flowstone Wall, general cragging)
18 to 23 March - Tasman Peninsula (Candlestick, Totem Pole, Maoi, Mt Brown, Paradiso)
24 to 25 March - Mt Wellington
Ben Lomond is on the list as a bad-weather back up.
We're flying to and from Hobart. We're looking to do classic trad and sport routes in the 17 to 26 range.
Any advice on venues, logistics, campsites, conditions, climbs, rest day stuff or anything else is much appreciated. And of course we'd love to share a beer and talk kak with any climbers that may be around.
We're both from South Africa, although Ian now lives in Aus.
Hey Tassie, get amoungst this and help support your local climbing gym Rock it Climbing Centre.
