Introduction

The Ironstone Boulders are a band of sandstone on the flanks of Mt Hobbs. They provide some nice steep highballs and other varied problems, with a short approach and a sunny aspect.

Access

Approach as for Mt Hobbs. A bit after 2km from the crossroads, is a turn off to the left marked by a hub cap in a tree. Follow this rough (you need clearance) track for 800m before parking in a flat area on the left. Follow the old track on the left down to the boulders.
